The Primal Rage 2 emulator is still a work in progress, with Gruntzilla94 pledging to iron out the kinks. 1997 fighting game Bloody Roar used this concept, letting you transform into half-human, half-animal creatures during a fight. Of note - Primal Rage 2 characters took on the form of humans, but could transform mid-match into beasts. While it's clear the game is nowhere near complete, and there are plenty of bugs to work around, Primal Rage 2 is playable. The video, below (thanks, Kotaku), shows it off. Since then, a dump of the game has been available, but no emulator was able to run it. Well, a sequel was planned, and in-part developed for release in late 1996, but it was cancelled. Hello everyone! New month with a brand new version of MAME4Rage2! This version contains the proper reseting found in the real game as well as from the looks of it in the sliders menu in MAME 0.221, of which MAME4Rage2 V0.4R1 is based on, it shows the refresh rate to be the proper refresh rate as well! I haven't really noticed any differences due to this change in MAME but if you do find the gameplay speed to be a bit slower, this is the reason.
